perhaps the neighbors will NOT notice my sewing machine in the driveway. oops.

i contemplated putting my new sewing machine in my backyard, but that backyard is on the high plains of west texas and receives direct sun all day!

It will take a while for the trees and shrubs i have just planted to be shade structures.

on the other hand, the driveway has a large beautiful shade tree that will allow me to sew on machine anytime. no matter how hot it is in the direct sun, the shade is a lovely oasis during summer in lubbock.

and so i unload my new sewing machine and install it in my drive just below my shade tree.

And sewing, though women’s work has proved to be lovely under my shade tree.
