I am sure, based on the artist’s, tony stamolis, digital capturing of my selfie documenting moment, he intended the viewer/selfier to stand on the X. Me, there was just a certain logic to take the selfie ON the X. This pleased the artist since it never entered his mind that the selfier might lay on the floor for the shot.

As artist, i know, anytime you can manipulate the viewer into action = yay! Engagement is always hoped for.
